You will then proceed to the VMware Horizon logon screen:
To Install the client click on “Install VMware Horizon Client”. If you have it installed already skip to step 1.
(You can also access the Virtual Desktops without installing the app and using your web browser by selecting the other option: “VMware Horizon HTML Access”)
Most university issued laptops will have this app installed already, the application will look like the one below.

- After clicking "Install," you'll be redirected to the page below. Under the "Products" section, locate Omnissa Horizon Clients and select "View Download Components."
- From the next page find the appropriate download for your operating system, and click on “Go to” and Download the Horizon Client
- Once downloaded run the installer and accept the default options. When the install is complete you will need to restart your computer.
1. Open the app and add the VDI server( For windows users the app will be located on your desktop. For Mac OS users the application will located in the applications folder.) :
Click on “Add Server”
Type: vdi.laverne.edu
Then click “Connect”
2. You will be prompted for your username, password and domain. Type your ULV email address, password.
Afterwards Select “Login”(If you get redirected to a Microsoft page go ahead and enter your La Verne email address and password.)
3. On the next screen, you’ll see the virtual computers available to you. Simply double-click any icon to begin your Virtual Desktop Session.
Please note!
This desktop is not persistent, meaning anything saved to the desktop will not be there when you next login. Please be sure to save any important files to your OneDrive so they will not be lost.
