Excel from Report Window | Cognos
I ran my report, now I'll like it in Excel. How can I do that?
In Cognos, the default report viewer is html format, so you can see the report in your browser as soon as the report is ready. However, if you would like it in Excel format for your own needs, there is a way to export it with your already defined selection criteria.
Follow these steps to download the excel with predefined selection criteria:
| 1. In the top blue bar, select the down arrow. This arrow will open a new menu with the various options available to export your report |

2. Select Run Excel. This action will trigger the Excel file creation

| 3. Once the file is created the web browser will prompt you with the option to open or save your Excel file, choose the one that you would like. |
