D2L Brightspace: Quizzes – Full HTML Editor for Question Feedback

Brightspace now supports full HTML editing for quiz questions and feedback, giving instructors more control over formatting, media, and layout.


✅ Step-by-Step Instructions


1.     Go to the Quizzes Tool

  • From your course homepage, click “Quizzes” in the navbar.

 

2.     Create or Edit a Quiz

  • Click “New Quiz” or select an existing quiz and click “Edit”.

 

3.     Add or Edit a Question

  • In the quiz editor, click “Add/Edit Questions”.

  • Choose a question type (e.g., Multiple Choice, Written Response).

 

4.     Open the HTML Editor

  • In the question text or feedback field, click inside the text box.

  • The HTML editor toolbar will appear automatically.

5.     Customize with HTML Tools

  • Use the toolbar to:

  • Format text (bold, italics, headings)

  • Insert images, videos, or links

  • Add tables or lists

  • Embed custom HTML (click the “</>” icon for source code view)

 

6.     Preview Your Question

  • Click “Preview” to see how your HTML formatting appears to students.

 

7.     Save and Exit

  • Click “Save” to apply changes.

  • Return to the quiz overview and publish when ready.
