How to Access SPSS via University of La Verne Virtual Desktop

SPSS is available to the student community through our virtual servers. Follow these steps to access and use SPSS:

Step 1: Access the Virtual Desktop

  1. Go to https://vdi.laverne.edu.
  2. Log in using your University of La Verne credentials.

Step 2: Launch the Virtual Computer

  • After logging in, you will see the Student Computer Lab icon:

  • Click this icon to start loading your virtual computer.

Step 3: Locate SPSS on the Desktop

  • Once your virtual desktop loads, you will see a shortcut for IBM SPSS Statistics:

  • Double-click the shortcut to launch SPSS.

Step 4: Apply License

  • When SPSS opens, you will be prompted with the following screen:

  • Click Apply Existing License to activate the software.

 

Step 5: Start Using SPSS

  • After applying the license, SPSS will load and display the main interface:

 

Important Note:

Because virtual desktop sessions are not persistent, you will need to apply the license again each time you start a new VDI session.
