When you log in to the Portal for the first time, you will be prompted to provide additional information to help keep your account secure. This process also registers your phone number for use with our password reset system.
You only need to complete this setup once.
Note: If you are not a first time user and need to set this up please go to the link here : https://aka.ms/mfasetup and sign in with your La Verne credentials. From this page select + Add sign-in method and select from the list of sign-in methods available.
Step 1
When you log onto the portal for the first time you will see the message below, just go ahead and click next.
Step 2
Add your phone number so you can receive a password reset PIN
- Enter your phone number (no dashes or spaces needed) choose the confirmation option you would like to verify your phone text or call and then click next:
- For our example we are using the text feature (but you can also use a call option), enter the code that was sent to your phone and then click next:
- Once confirmed you will receive this registration successful box and you can now see the new option in your methods:
