Duo Mobile Setup
Duo Mobile is a two-factor authentication app that offers additional security for your La Verne account logins. You will need to setup this up to access many of the University resources.
Its highly recommended that you complete the first-time setup from your Desktop or Laptop
To complete the first-time setup, you will need access to a computer and your cellphone.
Let’s Start:
Navigate to the La Verne portal: https://myportal.laverne.edu and log in.
On the left side, find “Quick Links” drop down and then choose “Employee Email”
You will be met with a DUO Welcome message, click on “Start setup” to begin.
Choose the type of device you are going to add, in this case a mobile phone.
Enter your Mobile’s phone number, check the box to verify, then click “Continue”:

You will be shown instructions on how to download the Duo Mobile app on your cell phone. If you do not have the app installed, then please do so at this step.

Once downloaded go back to your computer and click on “ I have Duo Mobile”
On your mobile phone open the app and press the + sign in the top right corner
and scan the QR code that appears on your computer.
Once scanned you will see a green check mark, and University of La Verne on the DUO App:
Then click on “Continue"
To make this device the default to receive push notifications, scroll down and click
on the drop down for “When I log in” and choose: “Automatically send this
device a Duo Push”
Click “Save” and then “Continue to login”
You will receive a notification on your phone to accept the login request:

Press “Approve” and now you can login:
Want to skip the Duo prompt during login?
If you are using a trusted computer you can use the “Remember Me” option on the Duo box after a successful login: (this option requires you have cookies enabled in your browser)
