Using the La Verne Portal After the Recent Update

Clearing browser data will assist with logging in.

Body

We completed an update to the My Laverne Portal on 7/20/2025 to improve performance and security. As a result, you may need to take the following steps to ensure MyLaVerne and other resources (including banner) functions correctly:

Update your portal shortcut or bookmark - Please delete any old shortcuts and create a new one using the updated website URL and set it to https://myportal.laverne.edu

Clear your browsing data - To prevent any loading or display issues, we recommend clearing your browser's cache and cookies before accessing the portal.

Here are some guides on how to clear your browsing data based on your browser or device.

🔷 Microsoft Edge

On Desktop:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots (•••) in the upper-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

  4. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

  5. Select the time range All time.

  6. Check the data types you want to delete (e.g., Browsing history, Cookies, Cached images and files).

  7. Click Clear now.

On Mobile (iOS/Android):

  1. Open the Edge app.

  2. Tap the three dots at the bottom (iOS) or top (Android).

  3. Tap Settings > Privacy and security.

  4. Select Clear browsing data.

  5. Choose what to clear and tap Clear.


🔴 Google Chrome

On Desktop:

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots (â‹®) in the upper-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings > Privacy and security.

  4. Click Clear browsing data.

  5. Choose the time range All time

  6. Select data types (e.g., Browsing history, Cookies, Cached images).

  7. Click Clear data.

On Mobile:

  1. Open the Chrome app.

  2. Tap the three dots > History.

  3. Tap Clear browsing data….

  4. Choose the time range All Time and data types.

  5. Tap Clear data.


🦊 Mozilla Firefox

On Desktop:

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Click the three horizontal lines (☰) in the upper-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.

  4. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data….

  5. Choose what to delete and click Clear.

  6. Optionally, go to History > Clear History for more options.

On Mobile:

  1. Open the Firefox app.

  2. Tap the three dots (Android) or the menu icon (iOS).

  3. Tap Settings > Delete browsing data.

  4. Select what you want to clear.

  5. Tap Delete browsing data.


🟢 Safari (Apple Devices)

On macOS:

  1. Open Safari.

  2. Click Safari in the top menu bar > Clear History….

  3. Choose the time range (All history).

  4. Click Clear History (also removes cookies and cache).

To clear cache only:

  1. Go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences).

  2. Under Advanced, check "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

  3. From the Develop menu, click Empty Caches.

On iPhone/iPad:

  1. Go to Settings > Safari.

  2. Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data.

  3. Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.
