Student Name Change Request

This is the process in order to have your LaVerne email name changed: 

1.    Registrar needs to change the name first.  

2.    Once the registrar has changed your name, please fill out the form by clicking on Request a Name Change on this page. As you fill out the form, please be aware of the following procedures and acknowledgements:

    a. Select whether you are currently an active student or inactive student
    b. Acknowledge that the Registrar has changed your name.
    c. List your current email address, and the name you are changing to.
    d. Provide a personal email address to contact you at when the work order has been completed.
    e. The personal email will be CC’d with the updates to the work order while your current La Verne email address will be used to create the work order.
    f. The current La Verne email address will be deleted and the new one will be created.
    g. Acknowledge that you understand your current email account will be deleted and you have backed up any emails from that account.

3.    Once your La Verne email account has been deleted and your new La Verne email account is created, you will not receive any emails, but you will still receive emails cc’d to your personal email. An email will be generated stating that the work order is closed. 

This process normally takes between 2 to 4 business days once a work order has been generated.

Once your email has changed please follow the instructions below on how to log in with the new username:
 
1. Go to https://myportal.laverne.edu/web/mycampus/new-user-signup

2. Type in your Banner ID (your 8 digit student ID) and your last name.

3. Click “OK”.

4. You will get a message that a temporary password has been sent to your personal email account.

5. With that temporary password, you can log in to the La Verne Portal. Here is the link: https://myportal.laverne.edu/cas/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Fmyportal.laverne.edu%2Fc%2Fportal%2Flogin

6. Your username will be your firstname.lastname@laverne.edu. Password is the temporary password you received in your personal email account.
