Microsoft Azure can be used to reset your University password by sending a code to a phone number. You will need to register a phone number to use this feature and this will only need to be setup once before you can reset your password.
Step 1
Register your Phone Number
Visit the Microsoft self-service password registration portal
- Enter your full Laverne email address (Include @Laverne.edu) You will then be forwarded to the University of Laverne login screen.
- Enter your current Laverne password
- You will see the message above, just go ahead and click next.
Step 2
Add your phone number so you can receive a password reset PIN
- Enter your phone number (no dashes or spaces needed) choose the confirmation option you would like to verify your phone text or call and then click next:
- For our example we are using the text feature (but you can also use a call option), enter the code that was sent to your phone and then click next:
- Once confirmed you will receive this registration successful box and you can now see the new option in your methods:
- Now you’re done! You now have a phone setup so that you may reset your password.
How to reset your Laverne password

From the La Verne Portal click on "Enhanced Password Reset" :
- Enter your email (including the @laverne.edu) and complete the CAPTCHA then click next:
- You will now be prompted to confirm the password reset using the phone number that was setup.
- Here enter the phone number that you setup and it will send you a code to confirm the password reset:
- Enter the code that is texted/called to you then click on next:
- Now you will be prompted to setup a new password:
- Once you confirm the new password and it meets complexity requirements you will receive this confirmation:
- And that’s it, your password has been reset for you La Verne account!
